Dr. Mark Huffman

Mark was born in Campbell County Kentucky and attended High School at Campbell County. He attended Northern Kentucky University and graduated Cum Laude in 1988. He earned his M.D. degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1992. He was an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Cincinnati from 7/92 through 6/93. At that time, he did research at the University of Kentucky in the Ophthalmology Department until June of 1994. He was a resident in the U.K. Ophthalmology Department from July 1994 through June 1997. He is Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

After completing his residency, Mark joined Dr. Jim Huffman and the new business was called Huffman & Huffman, P.S.C. In 2002, the brothers purchased Dr. Rose’s practice in Somerset. Dr. Mark currently practices in Somerset, London and Columbia.

Mark has been married to Melissa for 17 years. They have 3 sons, Clay is a Freshman at Somerset Christian School, Luke is in the 7th grade and Isaac is in the 3rd grade at Somerset Christian School. Mark is a volunteer grappling coach at the school.

Mark enjoys hunting and fly fishing. He and Melissa own a farm where he raises milk and meat goats. Mark is also planning an orchard for his farm with both fruit and nut trees. Mark enjoys studying Ancient Greek and Roman History, as well as theology and apologetics.

Mark is an active member of Grace Baptist Church, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and Kentucky Academy of Eye Physicians & Surgeons.
